Hi, I'm Alexis Pascual!
PhD Candidate || Space Exploration Enthusiast
What I am all about.
When I was a kid, I have always been fascinated by how machines work and how to build things. I remember breaking apart my toys just to see what’s inside and trying (often failing) to put them back together again. Looking back, I have never really changed much, except that the toys are now real flight hardware for real experiments and missions.
Expertise
Machine Learning
I have an extensive experience with the application of Machine Learning in imagery datasets.
Space Systems
Autonomous cars on Earth are cool. But autonomous things in space are cooler. I want to help get us there.
Computer Vision
Computers don't see the same way we do but it sure is interesting to make them deduce what they are "seeing".
Hardware Design
Most of the projects I work on call for hardware design alongside software development. I spearheaded the circuit board design of our 2018 and 2019 HAB payloads.
